Why do you think it made such a big impact when his teacher, Mr. Ostrowski, tells Malcolm that it's "unrealistic'' to want to be a lawyer?

Answer: It made such a big impact for Malcolm because his teacher crushed his dreams to become lawyer because of his skin color. So after that Malcolm changed a lot he didn't cared about school anymore he gave up on getting an education because of what his teacher said. So at age 15 he dropped out of school because there was no point to continue his education because what his teacher said was stuck in his head. I always thought if Malcolm teacher never said that to him would he become a lawyer or would he did what he did in his life.

  1. I agree with the fact that his dreams got crushed his teacher. Which is something I believe shouldn’t be done by anyone. I feel like everyone has their own goal in life and shouldn’t have someone interfere with that. Just like you said he could’ve probably done a lot with his life if she hadn’t said anything. Either way it made him educate himself and given him more motivation do achieve his goal
