Malcolm X week 2

I enjoyed seeing the clips from movies Malcolm mentioned in the book and also the Spike Lee produced version of Malcolm X. They both really helped me to better set the scene, although I knew what was going on in the book and the time period it was placed in I didn't really know how they danced and how they acted and they clothes they dressed in. I was thinking about the term lindy hopping and I knew they were dancing but I didn't really know how, and the music and entertainment and the way they danced is so different than what we know today so the clips helped me better understand the scene and how different it was then.
