The Epilogue

The epilogue is a very important part of the book. I think the narration from Alex Haley truly does provide a new perspective to the book. Yes, it allows us to see things from his eyes, but we also get to see how much Malcolm X meant to African Americans all over the United States. When Haley describes his death, its very graphic. He describes how it impacted the people who were directly influenced by Malcolm X's words and his teachings. I think that his death truly did impact a lot of people, as he was seen as a symbol of hope to many.

  1. I definitely agree with you with that the epilogue is a very important part of the book, it ties everything together and answers some unanswered questions that came up throughout the book. it also let us see Malcolm described in a way we hadn't seen as much throughout the book, Haley describes more about Malcolms true self and how although he was perceived as the angriest man by some, it uncovered a genuine side of him that was loyal to the people he cared for. it also did describe his death graphically, with a lot of detail, emphasizing how important it was and how it impacted so many people. overall I think it was a really impactful and important epilogue
