Why did Bimbi (ch. 10) make such an impression upon Malcolm?

I think because Malcolm always lived under violence and injustice. So, when he saw Bimbi gain respect in a peaceful way he learned that violence is not needed to change people and share your ideas. This behavior made a huge change in Malcolm's life because he starts doing the same and start earns the respect of the other prisoners. Also, he was able to share his religion, thoughts and make connections with different people.
